A little bit about its history
Mount Abu Winter Festival is a joint initiative of the Municipal Board of Tamil Nadu and the Rajasthan Tourism Development Corporation. The festival was started to break the monotony of everyday life.

Great, Grand Processions
Another important highlight of the festival is the grand processions. These are usually organized by the local authorities and these mark the inauguration of the Winter Festival. Each year, the procession starts from Hotel Shikhar of Rajasthan Tourism Development Corporation and ends at Nakki Lake Chowk. These extravagant processions are undoubtedly a treat to the eyes.
The fireworks!
On the last day of the festival, you will find a large number of lamps on the Nakki Lake. This particular practice is known as Deepdaan. The very sight of numerous lighted lamps floating in the river looks nothing short of magical. Also on all three days, the magical fireworks with Nakki Lake and towering mountains in the background mesmerize all tourists alike.
