India is battling a massive Covid-19 spike with lakhs of new cases and record-breaking deaths being registered daily. The demand for oxygen cylinders, lifesaving drugs, plasma donors and hospital beds due to the surge in cases has overwhelmed the existing healthcare infrastructure and frontline medical professionals. Vaccine shortage in the country has been another cause of concern. Furthermore, the need of the hour is a concise and updated reckoner for COVID-19 and Vaccine Resources.
Help is pouring in constantly from NGOs, large businesses, governments, foreign nations and individuals on social media, connecting those in need to the relevant covid and vaccine resources. Despite the abundance of information available online, locating the right medical resources at the right time has been a challenge for many.
Breast Cancer Hub (BCH), a non-profit organization, under their ambitious initiative of #TogetherWeSaveLives, has created a comprehensive ‘Database Hub’ of reliable and updated COVID-19 and Vaccine Resources in India. We at Savaari have made a small effort to structure their COVID resources into an easily-digestible table for quick reference – it will help people find every information they need at one place, saving them effort and time which could be critical in saving lives at the moment.

Vaccine Resources and Availability
Over a billion people in India have been eagerly waiting to get vaccinated. The country being one of the largest vaccine producing nations, is doing everything in its caliber to scale the vaccine roll-out. In the world’s biggest vaccination drill, India has already administered over 19 crore doses as of May 21, 2021. This number is expected to accelerate to new record levels everyday.
The vaccine drive for citizens aged 18 to 44 opened on May 1, 2021. However, due to the acute shortage of available vaccines, several states have temporarily suspended the inoculation of the said age bracket and diverted the available stocks to the 45+ age group.
On the bright side, we as a nation have overcome the initial apprehension regarding vaccines. With near perfect vaccine efficacy, India expects to procure 200+ crore vaccines between September and December, which would be sufficient to vaccinate a large majority of its population and get a decisive win over the pandemic.
