#60DaysOfSummer – Go Spelunking in Pachmarhi

Pachmarhi is one of those rare hill stations where you get a bit of history, adventure and great weather. Pachmari is in the middle of the Satpura National Park in Madhya Pradesh, so there’s a lot of greenery for miles around the town. The Pandava Caves in Pachmarhi is believed to have the home of the Pandavas when they were in exile. These rock cut caves are also believed to be Buddhist shrines used between 6th and 7th Century AD.

Apart from Pandava Caves, Pachmarhi also has Jatashankar and Mahadev caves if you’re looking to explore more of these rock cut caves in the region. Some of the older caves in Pachmarhi include the Asthachal Cave Shelters and Bharat Neer Cave Shelter.
