The Valley of Flowers in Uttarakhand is exactly as it sounds – it’s a gorgeous expanse of all sorts of flowers in bloom in the summer. If you’re someone who loves going on picnics in open spaces, surrounded by nature, Valley of Flowers certainly won’t disappoint. Getting this gorgeous valley is hard work, though – you’ll have to trek about 17km from Joshimath Garhwal to get there.
Treks to Valley of Flowers begins on June 11th this year. So if this is on your travel bucket list, you might want to start putting your travel plans together right away.
HOW TO GET THERE
Take a bus from Rishikesh to Joshimath Garhwal. From there, you’ll have to trek to the Valley. It’s advisable to call trek organizers in advance and figure out the best way to get there.
